A native of Canton, Ohio, martial arts instructor and President of the Mahoning Valley Karate Association,David Buker holds a 9th Degree black belt in Kenpo karate. He operates American Karate Studios of Boardman, Ohio.
Mr. Buker’s competition record includes 148 First Place Fighting Championships
- North American Open Championships in 1976-1979-1980
- Pro-Am Karate Championships in 1975-1976-1977
- Ohio Open Championships in 1973-1974-1975
Mr. Buker was also a P.K.A. kick boxer from 1974 through 1976.
During his career, Mr. Buker has had the honor of teaching and coaching over 60 State champions and 25 National champions. He is currently the State Chairman for Referees and Judges for the P.K.C. (Professional Karate Commission). He is a PKC Life Member and inaugural PKC Elite Society member.
Mr. Buker hosts the March Madness Karate Championships each year in the Mahoning Valley during the month of March.
